Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 7, 2026
Ruiz Legal, PLLC ("Ruiz Legal," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website (ruizlegal.law), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this website, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide and limited technical information collected automatically:
- Contact and consultation forms. When you submit our contact form or request a consultation, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and any details you choose to share about your legal matter.
- Chat and voice assistant. Our website offers an automated virtual assistant. Text conversations and, if you use the voice feature, audio interactions and transcripts may be processed and stored so we can respond to your inquiry. The assistant is automated and does not provide legal advice. Please do not share sensitive or confidential details through the assistant.
- Usage data. We use privacy-focused analytics (Vercel Analytics) to understand aggregate site traffic, such as pages visited and general device type. This data is not used to identify you personally.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule consultations;
- To evaluate whether we can assist with your legal matter;
- To operate, maintain, and improve this website;
- To comply with legal and professional obligations, including the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
3. Service Providers
We rely on a small number of service providers to operate this website, and information you submit may be processed by them on our behalf: our hosting and analytics provider (Vercel), our form and data infrastructure provider (Supabase), and artificial-intelligence service providers that power the chat and voice assistant (including ElevenLabs for voice features). These providers process information only to provide their services to us. The map on our contact page is provided by Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy.
4. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Submitting information through this website, including through the contact form or virtual assistant, does not create an attorney-client relationship and does not make the information you submit privileged. An attorney-client relationship is formed only by a signed representation agreement. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through this website.
5. Data Retention
We retain inquiry information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, evaluate potential representation, and satisfy legal, ethical, and record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
6. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect the information we collect, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will provide any notifications required by the Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA) and other applicable law.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you submitted to us;
- You may opt out of any follow-up communications at any time;
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@ruizlegal.law or 305-771-6801.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
This website uses only the minimal cookies and browser storage needed for it to function and for aggregate analytics. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
9. Children's Privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-Party Links
This website may link to third-party websites (for example, Google Maps or The Florida Bar). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
